MÉXICO. Un oficial de policía de Nueva Jersey se convirtió en un héroe, después que logró rescatar a la perrita de una familia que había caído a un lago congelado y no podía salir.
Los hechos ocurrieron en Hopeweell Township, Nueva Jersey, donde la perrita llamada ‘Nisel’, cayó en un estanque parcialmente congelado, pero, debido a la fragilidad del hielo en las orillas, no lograba salir.
La policía de Hopewell arribó al lugar y ataron con una cuerda al oficial Robert Voorhess, que se deslizó pecho tierra hasta el estanque -para evitar quebrar más hielo- y lograr sacar a Nisel.
Tras unos segundos el oficial logró sacar a la perrita y ambos fueron arrastrados de regreso a la orilla.
Después de esto, el perro recibió atención médica y lo secaron inmediatamente.
Friday, December 15, 2017Officers responded to a Pennington Harbourton Road property for the report of a dog that fell through the ice in a pond. The dog was unable to get out of the pond on its own. Officers Robert Voorhees and George Peterson, along with Hopewell Valley Emergency Services and Pennington Fire Company personnel arrived at the scene to assist the dog’s owner. Officer Voorhees volunteered to be fastened to a rope and crawled out on the edge of the ice towards the dog whose name is Nisel. Nisel swam towards Officer Voorhees who grabbed her by the collar. Officer Peterson and Specialist Dave VanDoren then pulled Officer Voorhees and Nisel to safety. Nisel and her owner were happily reunited.Great job to the officers and emergency responders!
